Does AI know your brand?
When a shopper asks an AI assistant for a recommendation, the assistant can only name brands it already knows. If the model has never heard of you, you are out of the answer before the ranking even starts.
This checker asks Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude what they know about your brand, live, and shows you their raw answers. Recognized, half-known or invisible - you see it in the models' own words.

What this means
Get your full brand audit - free
Knowing your name is step one. The full audit asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity the questions your customers actually type, then shows your share of voice, which competitors get named instead, and what to fix first.

Why brand recognition decides AI visibility
AI assistants answer from what they already absorbed plus whatever they fetch live. A brand the model cannot describe rarely makes the shortlist, however good the product is.
When I dug into our audit data across 31 direct-to-consumer brands, the loudest marketers were not the ones the engines named most. The full write-up is in fame is not AI visibility.
How this brand visibility checker works
- You type the brand name. The name only, the way customers say it. A domain like "brand.com" scores worse because that is not how people ask.
- We ask Gemini and Claude the same question. What do you know about this brand, what does it sell, what industry is it in.
- We show the raw answers. A model that describes you in real detail counts as recognizing you. A model that says it has no information, or gives a thin generic line, does not.
How to read your AI brand visibility result
2 of 2 means both engines can describe you. Good start. The next question is whether they recommend you when a shopper asks about your category, which is what the full audit measures.
1 of 2 means you are half-known. Engines disagree more than people expect (we saw one brand score 10 on ChatGPT and 100 on Claude), so a split like this is common.
0 of 2 means neither engine can describe you yet. You are not in the answer at all, and nothing downstream of that works until it changes.
How to improve how AI engines see your brand
- Say what you are, plainly, on your homepage. One sentence: brand name, what you sell, who for. Models lift exactly that kind of line.
- Add Organization schema. Name, logo,
sameAslinks to your real social profiles. Validate it with our free Structured Data Tester. - Let the AI crawlers in. Many hosts block GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot at the edge. Check yours with the AI Crawler Access Checker.
- Get described consistently off your own site. Reviews, directories, press, a Wikidata entry. Same name, same one-line description everywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Is this brand visibility checker free?
Yes. Two free checks a day, no account needed. The full audit across four engines is one free sign-up away.
Which AI engines does it check?
This free check asks Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude. The full audit in the app adds ChatGPT and Perplexity and runs category questions, not only the brand name.
Why do you ask for my email?
Each check calls two paid AI models live, so the email keeps the free tool from being scripted. Newsletter mail only goes out if you tick the box.
Does being recognized mean AI will recommend me?
No. Recognition gets you into the conversation. Whether an engine names you for "best running shoes" is a separate question, and that is what share of voice in the full audit answers.
